It was 2015 when we decided to enter uncharted territory for us and adopt one of our first mares, Kannelle de la Baie. When she gave birth to the stallion Don de la Baie, we were extremely happy. When he was six years old, we decided to sell this stallion after careful consideration, but in the end he turned out to be a very talented horse that Marcus Beerbaum also wanted to ride.
In the following years, the number of breeding mares began to expand and other foals were not long in coming. Our breeding mares include and have included Carpe Diem af Pan, Atessa B.L.H., Curley Sue and also I’m Special vanť Heike, who were extremely talented mares during their active careers. From Carpe Diem af Pan we have two foals in our breeding, respectively. young horses, gelding Carl Blue and mare C My Little Girl, from Curley Sue we have mare Classic´s Sue, from Atessa B.L.H. mare Aifee. From our youngest broodmare I´m Special vant´ Heike we have stallions I am Gilly and C I believe in our breeding.
Our young hopes can be seen regularly at the Young Horse Criterion in the saddle with Ondřej Nágr from Mariánské Lázně, the oldest of our young horses has been participating in competitions at Czech and foreign horse racing venues since the 2024 season.
So far, ten foals have been born from the Czech Equestrian Team’s own breeding. In the beginning, we allowed breeding mares by foreign stallions, but since 2016, foals have come exclusively from our horses, and the breeding mares are inseminated by our stallions, Giljandr van den Bosrand and Classic. Since 2024, a young stallion, Cataki van de Helle, has joined our stable, who also has great potential for the future of our breeding.
